Hot Import Daze 2015 was one for the books for Shinchoku.
Popular for being one of the major import car events in the state of Washington, Hot Import Nights / Hot Import Daze brought together enthusiasts and their cars from all over the Pacific Northwest and Canada. Stance, VIP, and Classic car communities were well-represented at the event, illustrating a major shift in popular trends since the days of insane body kits and underglow, reminiscent of the good ol’ Fast and the Furious days.
Hot Import Daze was also a very important event for us as a media group. Not only were we given media access for the entire day, we were also granted a booth for the event, making this the first public appearance for Shinchoku. We were ecstatic about the opportunity, and as a result, we pulled out all of the stops for the event: full vinyl banner, canopy, tables, business cards, stickers, and two cars on display and in action on the track (big thanks to Matt Vankirk and Zach Farrar for coming out and supporting/representing Shinchoku!).
The show itself was filled with an amazing array of cars. Laid out Lexus’, race-ready Hondas, stretched-out Ruckus’, big-bodied GTRs, and even a row of (now) classic R32 Skylines and a Skyline 2000GT illustrated the thriving and eclectic import scene. In addition to the show, Autocross was taking place on the main Evergreen Speedway track, filling the air with beautiful high-revving engine noises as the cars and their drivers sped through the course. Matt Vankirk and Zach Farrar even got a chance to tear some tires up and get sideways on the track, representing the drift scene to the fullest!
Oh, and the models … the models. What would a car show be without models? Thank you to all of the models who took pictures with us and our booth! We’re still picking up our jaws!
All in all, it was an incredibly successful day for Shinchoku. We had so much fun meeting with some of our fans, talking with people curious about our work, networking with big names and their even bigger cars, and enjoying the overall sights and sounds of Hot Import Daze.
We would like to thank all of our friends who came out to help us promote, setup, and support Shinchoku! MASSIVE SHOUTOUTS to Matt Vankirk and Zach Farrar for lending both their time and cars for the event. They were a big part of our success and we are truly grateful for their support! Thank you to all of our fans, both new and current, for coming out and hanging with us! Thank you to HIN for giving us this awesome opportunity to be at the show! We are so grateful for everything that happened last weekend and we hope to continue to make progress on what has already been a wild ride.
