Another successful open drift event took place just last Sunday as newcomers and returning drivers converged onto Evergreen Speedway to do just two things: hang out and drift! Trailers and caravans full of cars and their drivers flooded onto the track, all excited to catch up with one another and drift on a typical Sunday in Monroe, Washington.
We were very excited to see veteran Grassroots driver Zach Farrar come out in his freshly built dark gray S13 coupe along with his mom and her white LS-powered S13.4, which sounded just as monstrous as it drove. Mickael Blair took his black KA-powered S13 coupe out on its maiden voyage and impressed everyone with his skill and control behind the wheel, having only finished his car the day before. Cole Werner showed up later in the day and brought out his revived silver LS-powered S13 coupe and showed everyone how a seasoned ProAm driver gets the job done. We are very excited to see how Zach, Mickael, and Cole perform in next year’s Grassroots and ProAm series!
All in all, a great day full of drifting and good vibes among all of the participants and spectators. Open Drift events are a great way for both new and experienced drivers to come out and learn how to drift, practice drifting, or just hang out with other drivers in the sport in a safe, low-pressure, and controlled environment. Hope to see all of you at the track in the future!
